Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The EQE SUV has Car-to-X Communication, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The GV60 doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

Both the EQE SUV and the GV60 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Mercedes EQE SUV weighs 410 to 1072 pounds more than the Genesis GV60. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

There are over 59 percent more Mercedes dealers than there are Genesis dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the EQE SUV’s warranty.

The EQE SUV AMG offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The GV60 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the EQE SUV’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the GV60 (275/40R21 vs. 255/45R20).

The AMG EQE 53 SUV’s optional tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the GV60 Performance’s 40 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the AMG EQE 53 SUV offers optional 22-inch wheels. The GV60’s largest wheels are only 21-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the EQE SUV can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The GV60 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The EQE SUV has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The EQE SUV’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The GV60 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The EQE SUV’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The GV60 doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the EQE SUV’s wheelbase is 5.1 inches longer than on the GV60 (119.3 inches vs. 114.2 inches).

The AMG EQE 53 SUV handles at .94 G’s, while the GV60 Performance pulls only .85 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The AMG EQE 53 SUV executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.8 seconds quicker than the GV60 Performance (24.1 seconds @ .82 average G’s vs. 26.9 seconds @ .63 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the EQE SUV with rear wheel steering’s turning circle is 3.8 feet tighter than the GV60’s (35.4 feet vs. 39.2 feet).

Optional Trailer Stability Assist on the EQE SUV uses the Electronic Stability Program sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The GV60 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the GV60, the EQE SUV has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, outside mirror angle, climate settings and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The EQE SUV’s standard Keyless-Go allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the cargo door, and start the vehicle, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Proximity Key standard on the GV60 doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the EQE SUV to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The GV60 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the EQE SUV has a standard rear wiper. The GV60 doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the EQE SUV offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The GV60 doesn’t offer cornering lights.
